What you can ask

Your assistant reads your stored brand profile before it writes, so the output follows your voice, audience and constraints instead of generic marketing copy. A few examples:

  • “Set up my brand from example.com.”
  • “Write three LinkedIn posts about our spring launch in our brand voice.”
  • “Check this email against our brand guidelines before I send it.”
  • “How visible is our homepage in AI search, and what should we fix first?”
  • “Write our Black Friday post for Instagram and save it to our calendar for Friday.”

Connect

You need a Brand Context account. If you don't have one, you can create it on the sign-in screen while connecting; new accounts start with free credits. You choose which brand the assistant uses by default and can change it later.

Claude

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector and paste the server URL.
  3. Select Connect. Sign in to Brand Context, pick your default brand and select Allow.
  4. In a chat, enable Brand Context from the tools menu and ask away.

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings, then Apps, and turn on Developer mode under Advanced settings.
  2. Create an app, paste the server URL and choose OAuth for authentication.
  3. Sign in to Brand Context, pick your default brand and select Allow.
  4. Select Brand Context in a new chat to use it.

Other MCP clients

Any client that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth can connect with the server URL. The client opens the Brand Context sign-in page the first time you use it.

Tools

Free tools never use credits. Paid tools use the same credits as the Brand Context dashboard, and your assistant can tell you the price before running one. Prices as of November 2026; the get_account_status tool always shows the current ones. See plans and credits.

Lists the brands in your account and which one is the default.

Permissions and your data

When you connect, you allow the assistant to:

  • Read your brand profiles and account status

    Brand names, profiles, visual identity, plan and credit balance.

  • Create brands, update brand profiles and save calendar posts

    Only when you ask your assistant to. Nothing is posted to social media.

  • Run Brand Context tools that use your credits

    Paid tools use the same credits as the dashboard. If a tool fails, its credits are refunded.

  • The assistant only sees what Brand Context tools return: your brand profiles and the results of the tools it runs. It can't see your other Brand Context data or your password.
  • Text you send to tools that write or analyze content is processed by Google Gemini to produce the result, as in the Brand Context dashboard. Audits and brand setup read the public web pages you name.
  • Brand Context stores only hashed sign-in tokens. Access tokens expire after one hour; the connection stays signed in for up to 90 days after it was last used.
  • Your assistant's own handling of your chats is covered by its provider's privacy policy.
  • Disconnect at any time in Brand Context under Profile → Connected AI assistants, or by removing the connector in your assistant. Disconnecting revokes its tokens immediately.

Troubleshooting

The sign-in page says the request expired

Sign-in links are valid for 15 minutes. Start connecting again from your assistant.

The assistant uses the wrong brand

Name the brand in your request, or change the default brand for that assistant under Profile → Connected AI assistants.

A tool says there aren't enough credits

Ask the assistant for your account status to see your balance. Nothing is charged when a tool can't run.
